I joined QV, the day I turned 13 after waiting for months to be old enough to join. I joined QV because I wanted to realistically simulate the role of a Qantas 737 pilot which is the position I am aiming for in the long run. I rarely jumpseat as a Boeing 737 pilot is not going to takeoff from a different airport from their arrival field and have done almost all flights at real time or within 30 min of the departure time.
